Spark Plug Service
To ensure proper engine operation,
the spark plug must be properly
gapped and free of deposits.
The spark plug becomes very
hot during operation and will
remain hot to awhile after
stopping the engine.
Check-Adjust interval:
Every 50 hours or 6 months.
Replacement interval:
Every 200 hours.
Recommended spark plug:
CR4HSB (NGK)
U14FSR-UB (DENSO)
Use only the recommended spark
plug or equivalent. Spark plug
which have an improper heat
range may cause engine damage.

SOCKET WRENCH
1.
Remove the engine cover.
2.
Remove the spark plug cap.
3.
Use the wrench and screwdriver
supplied in the tool kit to remove
the spark plug.
4.
Visually inspect the spark plug.
Discard the spark plug if there is
apparent wear, or if the insulator is
cracked or chipped. Clean the
spark plug with a wire brush if it is
to be reused.

Measure the plug gap with a feeler
gauge.
The gap should be 0.6 0.7 mm
(0.024 0.028 in). Correct as

necessary by carefully bending the
side electrode.
