Sounding your locomotive's horn

P ress the HORN/WHISTLE button on your transformer or controller to sound the
locomotive's horn. Be sure that the horn ON/OFF switch is in the ON position. Refer to
Figure 3 on page 7 for the location of that switch.
If your transformer or controller does not have a HORN/WHISTLE button, install a Lionel
Sound Activation Button (available separately, part no. 610-5906-001). Connect the button as
shown in Figure 2. Reverse the red and black wires if the horn does not sound.
If you would like to disable the horn sounds, move the horn ON/OFF switch to the OFF
position.
All track power must feed through the Sound Activation Button. Do not bypass the
