Chapter 1 Introduction Overview The Supermicro SC213 chassis features a direct-attached SAS3 backplane supporting sixteen 2.5" SAS/SATA hard disk drives. For the W models such as SC213AC-R920WB, and the U models such as SC213A-R720UB the chassis slots are horizontal. The chassis has a redundant power supply. Redundant power supplies are hot- swappable, and can be changed without powering down the system. New units can be ordered directly from Supermicro. Replace a failed power module with the same model. This power supply is auto-switching capable. This enables it to automatically sense and operate at a 100v to 240v input voltage. -
