Pan Motor Assembly Replacement

Repair Procedure
Step 1. Disconnect luminaire AC input cable from power source. Place the luminaire on the upper
enclosure.
Step 2. As shown in
both top covers.
Step 3. In the corners on the pan-motor side, remove two 6-32 x 3/8" screws.
CAUTION: During the next step, do not allow the front lens to contact anything that could damage
the lens coating.
Step 4. To provide access to the ventilation cover, set the luminaire on the front lens casting.
Position the head so the pan-pulley sensor tab is inside the optical sensor.
Step 5. At bottom of the enclosure, remove four 1/4-20 x 1-5/8" socket screws and 1/4" split lock
washers. Remove the ventilation cover.
Step 6. Remove the handle on the pan-motor side by removing two 10-32 x 5/8" PPB screws.
Step 7. At the enclosure bottom, remove two 6-32 x 1/4" PPB screws and the pan-motor side cover.
Step 8. At the side of the enclosure, remove two 6-32 x 3/8" PFZ screws and two 6-32 KEPS nuts
that hold two cable saddles. Pull the cables out of way of the pan motor.
Step 9. Disconnect the wiring from the pan-encoder PCB.
Step 10. At the encoder PCB, remove two 4-40 x 1/4" screws and remove the PCB.
Step 11. As shown in
Step 12. Move pan motor assembly toward pan pulley and remove the belt from the pan pulley.
Step 13. Carefully remove the belt from around the code wheel and pass it through the tension rollers.
Step 14. Remove the four 10-32 x 3/4" SCB Cap screws loosened in
Step 15. Pull motor assembly out of the enclosure. Remove the tension springs from the enclosure.
Step 16. Disconnect the motor wiring.
Step 17. Replace by performing steps 2 through 16 in reverse order.
