5.2 Ventilation without dehumidification

If only ventilation without dehumidification is required, the change-over switch symbolized by a drop is set to pos.
0 and the change-over switch symbolized by a fan is set to pos. 1. The control lamp (next to the change-over
switch symbolized by a fan) lights up in green.
5.3 Dehumidification and heating (electric heating element connected)
The unit is started as described above and the change-over switch symbolized by a fire is set to pos. 1. The control
lamp lights up in green. The air outlet temperature is now controlled by the thermostat.
5.4 Ventilation and heating (electric heating element connected)
If only ventilation and heating is required, the change-over switch symbolized by a fan is set to pos. 1 and the
change-over switch symbolized by a fire is set to pos. 1. The control lamp next to the change-over switch
symbolized by a fan lights up permanently in green. The control lamp next to the change-over switch symbolized
by a fire lights up in green, when the electric heating element is active.
6. Electric control
The entire control system of the unit with all its safety, control and switching functions is provided by the printed
circuit board type DTR 3003, which is located behind the right-hand control panel of the unit.
The number of compressor startings is limited by a 6 minutes timer, which starts up when switching on the
compressor. The timer must have come to an end before the compressor can be switched on again.
This also means that the compressor cannot be started until 6 minutes after it has been actuated.
However, this period of time can be overcome by pressing the TEST button on the printed circuit board.

6.1 Temperature working range

A temperature sensor stops the unit when the temperature falls to less than 5°C. The built-in high pressure
controller stops the unit when the temperature reaches a level between 32°C and 35°C, dependent on the relative
humidity.

6.2 Defrosting

At temperatures under 20°C the evaporator will start to ice up. The evaporator sensor registers the icing up and
after 44 minutes in dehumidification mode the active defrosting begins. A four-way valve is activated letting warm
gas being blown across the evaporator whereby the ice on the evaporator is melted. When the evaporator sensor
registers that there is no more ice on the evaporator, the four-way-valve switches over again.

6.3 Safety circuit

LP – low pressure controller - switches off the dehumidifier, if the pressure in the cooling circuit gets too low. The
compressor is switched automatically on again if the pressure increases. The control lamp (triangle) lights up
constantly in red.
