1. Description of function

The CDS 80/100/200 are working in accordance with the condensation principle. The humid air is drawn into the
unit by a fan. In the evaporator the air is cooled and when its temperature has fallen to below the dew point, the
water vapour condenses into droplets, which are led to a drain. The dry cold air is then passed through the
condenser where it is reheated. As a result of the released evaporator heat and the working energy of the
compressor being turned into heat energy, more heat is returned to the air than was previously extracted. This extra
heat corresponds to an approximate increase in temperature of 5°C. The repeated circulation of air through the unit
reduces the relative humidity, giving very rapid but gentle drying.
