The surfaceburner headsare removablefor cleaning. The
caps are porcelain, while the port areas are aluminum.
Wash the surface burner heads in the sink with mild
detergentand a plastic scrubber.
When replacingtheburnerheads,carefullyalignthe detent
on the head with the indentation in the burnerbase.
Note=Check to be sure all ports are open. To open cloggedports, insert a toothpick
directlyintoeach port.
Note: When burner heads are removed for cleaning, be careful not to spill liquids
throughthe hole in the burnerbases.
If the igniterSget dirtyor greasy,clean witha toothbrushand warmsoapy water. Rinse
and dry thoroughly. DO NOT STRIKE or PRY the ceramic igniter.
The tempered glass cooktop will withstand temperature changes while cooking.
Althoughimpact resistant,treat this glass cooktopwith the same care you would any
glass material.
Clean glasscooktopaftersurfacehascooled. Wipewith a clean, dampspongeor cloth.
Rinseand dry thoroughlyto preventa filmy residue. A glass cleaner may be used to
removesmudge marksand stains.
The knobson the controlpanelcan be removedwiththe controlsin the OFF position.
Pulleachknob straight fromthe shaft. Wash knobsinwarm soapywateror dishwasher;
do not use abrasivecleansersor materials. To replaceeach knob, matchflat part of
knob openingwith the fiat on the shaft, returning in OFF position.
Important: Never use a metal bladeto pry knob off. If knobcannot be easilyremoved,
tuckthe foldsof a cloth dishtowel u nderthe knoband pull the towelupwardwithsteady,
even pressure.
Important: Be carefulto replacethe knobswith gentle pressure. Never hit the knob
on the shaftwith your hand or any other object.
Note=When knobsare removedforcleaning,be carefulnotto spillliquids throughholes
in the control area.
