Remove any existing rim strip or rim tape from the rim.

Remove the valve stem, nut, and o-ring from the rim.
Install the wheel into a truing stand.

Spray isopropyl alcohol on the rim and clean it with a rag.
Make sure the rim is dry and free of alcohol. Spin the wheel
rapidly to remove alcohol from the spoke holes.
