TELETEXT Operation

Please refer to drawing on pages 8 and 9 for location of Teletext Control buttons.

1. Select Text Mode and choose a page.
2. Push the TIME TEXT button. T**** will be displayed at the top left of the
screen.
3. Enter the sub page number before the T**** disappears. The sub-page
number must be entered as a four digit number e.g. sub-page 3 would
be entered as 0003.
4. Push the Display Cancel button to view the TV picture while waiting for
the sub-page to be found.
5. When found, the page number will be displayed the at the top left of the
screen. Press the TV/TEXT button twice to display the page.
To clear the page perform one of the following:
- Select a new page number.
- Push the TV/TEXT button to return to normal television viewing.
* Note: TIME TEXT is not currently available in Australia.
REVEAL
Some Text pages contain concealed information, e.g. the solution to a
puzzle. To reveal this information Push the REVEAL. To hide the
information, push the REVEAL button again.
DISPLAY CANCEL
If you wish to watch the television while you are waiting for a page to be
transmitted you can use the DISPLAY CANCEL function.
COLOURED BUTTONS
These buttons refer to different page numbers in LIST mode and different
subjects in TOP mode.
PAGE NUMBERS UP AND DOWN
These buttons are used to move to higher or lower page numbers.
INDEX
Pressing this button returns you to the main index page.
F/T/B (FULL / TOP / BOTTOM)
This button is used when difficulty is experienced in reading text on the
screen. Operating the F/T/B expands and displays the upper half of the
screen. Operating the F/T/B button again expands and displays the lower
half of the screen. Operating the F/T/B button a third time returns the display
to normal condition.
HOLD
Some TELETEXT pages contain multi-page information. Use this button to
stop the page changing. Push it again to release the hold.
LIST STORE
In LIST mode the page numbers stored in the four coloured buttons can be
changed for each teletext channel. Push a coloured button, enter the page
number and push the List Store button to store the page. Keep the button
pressed until the coloured numbers at the bottom of the screen change
colour.
LIST/ F TEXT
Push the List / F Text button to switch between the List mode and Top of
Page mode.
