Troubleshooting

Scanner cannot be white-point calibrated

If the scanner cannot be white-point calibrated:
• Check that the white calibration strip on the underside of the mounting
plate is clean.
• Check that the lid of the scanner is properly closed.
If there still is a problem, it may be because the intensity of the transmission
lamp or reflection lamps is deteriorating.
• To replace the transmission lamp, proceed as described in the
"Maintenance" chapter of this manual.
• To replace the reflection lamps, please call your local ScanView dealer for
technical support.

Scanner cannot be focus calibrated

If the scanner cannot be focus calibrated, proceed as follows:
• Check that the mounting plate is clean.
• Check that the correct calibration target is being used and that it is clean.
• Check that the calibration target is placed correctly on the mounting plate,
so that the lines on the target are at right angles to the slit in the scanner bed.
• Check that the lid of the scanner is properly closed.
If there still is a problem, it may be because the intensity of the transmission
lamp or reflection lamps is deteriorating.
• To replace the transmission lamp, proceed as described in the
"Maintenance" chapter of this manual.
• To replace the reflection lamps, please call your local ScanView dealer for
technical support.
