3. Class Specification

This chapter describes the CIM classes provided by Hitachi SMI-S provider software.
The mark <*> means the parameter value specific in the provider or in the component managed by
the provider. The definition of the parameter will be shown in chapter5.
"For Open" indicates that the instance is used for an open system. "For Mainframe" indicates that the
instance is used for a mainframe system. "For Intermediate" indicates that the instance is used for a
mainframe system unless explicitly described otherwise.
For a port related instance, if portKind is HTP or FNP, the instance is used for a mainframe system.
Otherwise, it is used for an open system.
For a protocol endpoint related instance, if the class name is HITACHI_SBxxx, the instance is used for
a mainframe system. If the class name is HITACHI_SCSI, the instance is used for an open system.
For extent related instances, if the emulation type is OpenXXX, the instance is used for an open
system. Otherwise, the instance is used for a mainframe system.
