4. Extrinsic Method Specification

This section describes the extrinsic methods supported by Hitachi SMI-S provider software.
All methods except for the CreateOrModifyVolumeLabel method of the StorageConfigurationService
class should support resources for only open system as its parameter. If mainframe resources,
including intermediate volumes, are passed as a parameter, the provider should return "Invalid
parameter" error. In addition, if the instance, whose method is invoked, corresponds to a mainframe
resource, including an intermediate volume, the provider should return "Failed" error or "Method not
supported" error.
