page of the start screen, simply scroll to the relevant page

Removing app shortcuts and widgets from the
start screen
a) To remove an app shortcut or widget from the start screen,
hold down the respective icon until the following symbol
appears in the top left corner of the screen: "X".
b) Drag the icon over the symbol. As soon as you release the
icon it will be removed from the start screen.
