Introduction

Thank you for purchasing BenQ displays. Please read this manual carefully for proper use. Keep
this user manual in a safe place for easy reference when needed.
In this user manual the steps needed to reach a menu are shown in condensed form, for
example: Display > Brightness.

Features

•20.1-inches (MD210G) and 2 megapixel resolution support (Portrait: 1200 x 1600 dots)
•21.3-inches (MD310C / MD310G) and 3 megapixel resolution support (Portrait: 1536 x 2048
dots)
•These displays come with out unique built-in luminance stablizing function, which provides
stable luminance for a long period of time.
•DisplayPort support (applicable to 8-bit or 10-bit, not applicable to audio signals)
•MD310C / MD310G has a dual-link DVI port. It delivers fast, smooth, and fine display of both
motion pictures and still images. To take advantage of dual-link features, use the supplied
DVI-D Dual Link cable.
•Long life LED backlight LCD panel.
• For MD210G, a graphic card that supports 1600 x 1200 or 1200 x 1600 is required.
• For MD301C / MD310G, a graphic card that supports 2048 x 1536 or 1536 x 2048 is required.

Intended use

The MD series displays are intended to be used in displaying and viewing digital images
(excluding digital mammography) for review and analysis by trained medical practitioners. These
devices cannot be used in digital mammography and life-support system. These devices are
designed for exclusive interconnection with IEC60601-1-1 certified equipment.
To guarantee the display performance as specified, it must only be used for in conjunction with
BenQ approved graphic cards.
Equipment connected to the analog or digital interfaces must comply with the respective IEC
standards (e.g. IEC 60950-1 or data processing equipment and IEC 60601-1 for medical
equipment). Furthermore all configurations shall comply with the current version of the
standard for SYSTEMS IEC 60601-1 everybody who connects additional equipment to the signal
input part or signal output part configure a medical system, and is therefore responsible that
the system complies with current version of the requirements of the system standard
IEC60601-1 doubt, consult the technical service department or your local representative.
