Solution
Make sure that the sensor cable
wires are connected correctly. If
necessary, disconnect and examine
the sensor cable for continuity and
internal shorts with an ohmmeter.
Make sure that the light source and
detector wires are connected
correctly. If a source or detector
failure occurred, replace it. Refer to
Replace a light source or detector
on page 24.
Make sure that the sensor cable is
not near motors or other equipment
that may make electrical or
magnetic fields.
