Paper jams will be the most common problem for the user.
It is important for the user to know how to correctly clear paper jams when
they occur.
Explain the paper jam types to the user.
In addition go over the techniques to clear paper jams in the operating
instructions with the use and let them practice removing them if they are
eager to do so.
Technically you will not be able to do the practical assignment as there will
not be any paper jammed in the machine.
However you can go to the jam location and simulate the jammed paper
removal procedure.
Explain the following to the user
The On Line/Error LED on the control panel lights red if a paper jam occurs.
Find and remove the jammed paper.
Look inside the printer if no paper visible.
Do not use tweezers or other sharp metal tools to remove jammed paper.
Make sure you remove all paper fragments from the machine if the paper
tears when you remove it from the machine.
Otherwise a jam will occur again.

Clearing Paper Jams

Paper can get jammed under the following the
conditions.
The tray is loaded incorrectly or overfilled
The tray has been pulled out during a print job
The front cover has been opened during a print
job.
Incorrect paper has been used.
Practice clearing the various paper jams.
