Color of the printed
image is not what you
expect.

Solid printing of CMY
100% is too light.
Dots appear.
Smears is printed.
The background of a
printed page is dark or
dirty.
Nothing is printed.
Patches appear.
Point to check
The toner is low.
The setting of [Black Finish] is
not suitable for the application.
The color adjustment has been
modified.
The color balance is out of
adjustment.
Color registration is out of
alignment.
[CMY100% Density] is set to
[Disable].
The paper is unsuitable.
When the interval of the dots
is about 94 mm (4 inches), the
image drum (the green tube) is
damaged or dirty.
The paper is moist.
The paper is unsuitable.
The printer may be malfunctioning. Contact your dealer.
Two or more sheets of paper are
fed simultaneously.

Remedy
Replace the toner cartridge.
On the printer driver, select
[Composite Black (CMYK)]
of [True Black (K)] for [Black
Finish].
Do color matching from the printer
driver.
Press the scroll button
select [Calibration], and then
[Adjust Density].
Open and close the output tray.
Or, press the scroll button
and select [Calibration], and then
[Adjust Registration].
Press the scroll button
select [Admin Setup] > [Color
Setup] > [CMY100% Density],
and then select [Enable].
Use supported paper.
Lightly wipe the image drum with a
soft tissue paper.
Replace the image drum when it is
damaged.
Replace it with new paper.
Use supported paper.
Fan the paper well and load it
again.
Replace it with new paper.
Use supported paper.
