2.1 APPLICATION MODULE

The mobile computer ships with the software package on the CD-ROM. It includes
FORGE Application Generator (batch- and WLAN-versions), MIRROR Emulator (VT
and 5250 versions), download utilities, etc.

2.1.1 FORGE APPLICATION GENERATOR (AG)

For the easy development of applications, the mobile computer is preloaded with AG
runtime. When you turn on the mobile computer, it displays user application's main
menu as below.
Batch AG
Note: Batch AG supports automatically uploading data to a host computer when the
upload interface is properly configured. Once the mobile computer connects to the
host via a RS-232 or USB Virtual COM cable, a moving hourglass icon displays on
the upper-right corner of the screen to indicate the mobile computer ready for
auto upload.
Before you proceed to collect data with the mobile computer, configure the application
with the companion tool on your PC. This time-saving development tool helps create
mobile computer's application templates on your PC.
