1. Unpack the Switch

The ECS4110-28T is a high-performance enterprise Layer 2 switch that provides 24
10/100/1000BASE-T RJ-45 ports and four Small Form Factor Pluggable (SFP) Gigabit
slots that support 1000BASE-SX, 1000BASE-LX, 1000BASE-LH, 100BASE-FX
and1000BASE-T transceivers.

The switch is designed to be installed in a standard 19-inch equipment rack.
However, you can also install the switch on any flat surface, such as a desktop.
Follow the steps in this guide to install the switch in your network.
Unpack the switch and check the package contents.

Rack Mounting—Following your rack plan, mark the holes in the rack where the switch will be installed. One person should lift the switch into the rack so that it is aligned with the marked holes.

Quick Start Guide 3. Connect Power To supply AC power to the ECS4110-28T switch, first verify that the external AC power supply can provide 100 to 240 VAC, 50-60 Hz and 0.90 A. To connect AC power, plug the power cord into a grounded, 3-pin, AC power source and then into the AC socket on the rear of the switch. -

For fiber transceivers connect 62.5/ 125 or 50/125 multimode or 9/125 single-mode fiber with LC connectors.
