USING YOUR veloCD ReWRITER
WHAT MEDIA TO USE
Use the right media! Your veloCD ReWRITER's capabilities change depending on which type of
compact disc you use. It currently supports these types:
CD-ROM: You can immediately play or read pre-recorded discs, such as audio CDs and data discs.
CD-R: Recordable CD. You can record on these discs, but only once. Make sure you have compatible
media when burning at maximum speeds. You can also read them.
CD-RW: ReWritable CD. These discs support recording and rerecording. You can also read them.
CD-RW High-Speed: Use this media when recording and rerecording at speeds of 4x or greater.
TRAY LOADING AND OPERATION
To load and unload the tray:
1. While the veloCD ReWRITER is powered up, push the Eject button on the front panel.
The tray drawer slides out in 2–3 seconds.
2. Lay a blank CD in the depression in the tray, label side up. The CD should lie flat in the tray.
3. Press the Eject button again and the tray will slide shut within seconds.

NOTE: Always use the Eject button to close the tray.
Closing the tray by pressing the front of the drawer
by hand is not recommended and risks damage of
the mechanism.
