Bar Chart — Data bars
indicate min., max., and live kV.
Pre-Trigger Data
The trigger position on the tester
screen can be moved to the left and
right so any portion of the waveform
can be easily viewed. Data gathered
before the trigger point allows the
signal to be displayed so that all the
necessary information can be seen. In
an ignition waveform, this includes
dwell, firing kV, burn time and voltage,
and coil oscillations.
Ignition System Support
The Ignition Scope supports the fol-
lowing ignition types: Conventional,
Wasted spark EI (DIS), and Integral
Coil distributor systems.
Bar Chart and Digital
Displays
Ignition parameters can be dis-
played in Bar Chart or Digital dis-
play. These displays make it easy to
compare cylinders. For example, ei-
ther the Bar Chart (4) or Digital
display (5) modes quickly and
clearly demonstrate if a particular
cylinder's firing kV is different than
other cylinders.
