FIRE INSTALLATION KIT

For installations in 3 storey dwellings, it is
necessary to fit an EnviroVent PIV unit (EVL-W or
EVL-H-W) with a fire kit, EnviroVent part number:
KIT-PIV-SMOKE. It is important to follow the
installation instructions that come with the kit.

SMOKE ALARM

For installations in 3 storey dwellings the loft unit
should be wired in such a way that it shuts down
completely when the smoke alarm system is
triggered. This can be done by linking the PIV unit
to relay type smoke alarm (N/C), see schematic.
When the relay is triggered by the alarm, power
to the PIV unit will be interrupted and the unit
will stop. When the alarm resets, power will be
resumed to the unit and the EnviroVent PIV will
resume working at its previous settings.

INSTALLATION CHECKS AND MAINTENANCE

The fire system should be checked at installation
to ensure proper function. The diffuser should
be periodically checked to ensure they have not
been activated and that they are still delivering air
into the property. In the case of a fire, the system
should be thoroughly checked.
