Fuel Pressure Inspection; Fuel Pump Relay Inspection - HYOSUNG COMET 250/R FI Service Manual

FUEL PRESSURE INSPECTION

● Remove the front seat.
● Place a rag under the fuel injector hose.
● Disconnect the fuel injector hose from the fuel
delivery pipe.
● Install the special tool between the fuel tank and
fuel delivery pipe.
Fuel pump pressure gauge
Turn the ignition switch "ON" position and check the
fuel pressure.
Approx. 3.4 ~ 3.7 kgf/cm
Fuel pressure
(333 ~ 363 kPa, 48.4 ~ 52.6 psi)
If the fuel pressure is lower than the specification,
inspect the following items :
* Fuel hose leakage
* Clogged fuel filter
* Pressure regulator
* Fuel pump
If the fuel pressure is higher than the specification,
inspect the following items :
* Fuel pump check valve
* Pressure regulator
WARNING
● ● Before removing the special tool, turn the
ignition switch to "OFF" position and release
the fuel pressure slowly.
● ● Gasoline is highly flammable and explosive.
Keep heat, sparks and flame away.

FUEL PUMP RELAY INSPECTION

Fuel pump relay is located the left side of the frame.
● Remove the frame cover.
● Remove the fuel pump relay ① .
