4.1 Installation of Lightning Arrester for AC
Power (Socket Strip with Lightning
Protection)
Caution:
No lightning arrester is shipped with the switch. You need to purchase
one if needed.
If an outdoor AC power cord is to be directly led to the switch,
connect the lightning arrester for AC power (socket strip with lightning
protection) before you plug the AC power cord into the switch. This
guards the switch against lightning strikes. You can use cable ties and
screws to fasten the lightning arrester for AC power on the cabinet,
workbench, or the wall of equipment room. When the lightning arrester
is used, AC power goes through the lightning arrester before being
supplied to the switch.
