After replacing a component

Use the StoreOnce GUI or StoreOnce CLI to check that the firmware on the new component is
correct. See
NOTE:
The system reboots after a firmware upgrade, but for some components a cold reboot
is required to complete the process. A message is displayed after the reboot if a cold reboot is
also required. Power down the system, wait the time recommended in the message and then
power on again using the Power On button.

Storage shelves with HPE StoreOnce 4700 Backup

You must install the first 24TB disk enclosure when you install the server unit. Be sure to connect
the enclosure to the correct RAID card. (See the HPE StoreOnce 4700, 4500, 2900 and 2700
Installation and Configuration guide.) Either at the same time or later you may install up to seven
additional 24TB capacity expansion enclosures (HPE StoreOnce 4500/4700 24TB Capacity Kit
[BB881A]).
Expansion enclosures are daisy chained to the two RAID cards. HP recommends making a
record of which enclosure (serial number) is connected to which RAID card for future reference.
NOTE:
The packaging and identification labels for the first storage enclosure have the same
part number as the server, BB879A. (They do not carry the HPE StoreOnce 4500/4700 24TB
Capacity Kit part number BB881A.)
The following example illustrates the first storage shelf (bottom unit) cabled to an HPE StoreOnce
4700 Backup (top unit).
The following parts are not hot-pluggable. The system must be taken offline
Upgrading BIOS or hardware firmware (page
13).
