3 x Operation

3.4.4 Reset

In certain situations, e.g. if the boiler is not functioning properly
after making a setting, it may be necessary to return the settings
to the factory settings.
A reset can only be carried out by the heating expert since the
system then will need to be re-configured.

3.4.5 Whisper mode

Whisper mode means that the exterior heat pump unit is
operating at reduced output. This reduces the operating noise
caused by the exterior heat pump unit.
CAUTION!
The operating mode "Whisper mode" reduces the
performance in room heating and room cooling
operation with the result that it may no longer be
possible to reach the preset target temperatures.
With outside temperatures below freezing, there is
a risk of material damage caused by frost.
The whisper mode is set and turned off as follows:
Place the rotary switch in the "Configuration"
An overview is displayed.
Select the "System Configuration" level with the rotary switch.
An overview is displayed.
Select the parameter [Quiet Mode] with the rotary switch.
Select and change the value to be changed within the
individual display using the rotary switch.
Confirm the changes with a brief push of the rotary switch.
Change has been accepted. Jump back to previous dis-
play.

3.4.6 SMART GRID

You will need a special electric meter with an SG receiver for this
function, and the HPSU compact must be connected to it.
As soon as the function is activated by the parameter [SMART
GRID] = 1, the heat pump is moved to the standby, normal or hot
water operating mode, depending on the signal provided by the
energy supply company.
The SG signals and operating status conditions are differentiated
as follows:

3.4.7 Sensor test

In the event of fault signals, heating problems or in the framework
of the annual service, it may be necessary to check their values
without removal. The control has its own test programme for this
test.
Place the rotary switch in the "Configuration"

Select the sensor to be tested within the individual display
using the rotary switch.

3.4.8 Remote control, Network function

The RoCon HP can communicate with other RoCon controllers or
with the room station (RoCon U1,
controlled.
Using the optional gateway (RoCon G1,
RoCon HP controller can be connected to the internet. This
means that the ROTEX HPSU compact can be controlled
remotely via mobile phone (using an App).
