I Tax status shift
Your POS terminal allows you to shift the programmed tax status of each item (PLU/UPC), discount, or
percent. The [TAX SHIFT 1] through [TAX SHIFT 10] are programmable, and five combinations of the
condition/result for the tax status can be programmed for each tax shift function.
The following types of tax shift methods are provided.
• Tax shift for each item/discount /percent entry
The tax shift is allowed for each item/discount/percent entry by touching the tax shift key ([TAX SHIFT 1]
through [TAX SHIFT 10]). The tax shift key can be touched at any timing during the entry operation.
• Tax shift for the transaction
The tax shift is applied for each transaction (changing the assignment of tax status of all sales items) by
touching the tax shift key ([TAX SHIFT 1] through [TAX SHIFT 10]). The tax shift key can be touched at
any time during the transaction. The tax status can be restored to the original status by touching the
corresponding tax shift key again.
• Automatic tax shift by the employee
The tax shift is performed automatically by programming the tax shift (TAX SHIFT 1 to TAX SHIFT 10) for
each server/clerk.
• Automatic tax shift by each media
The tax shift is performed automatically by programming the tax shift (TAX SHIFT 1 to TAX SHIFT 10) for
each media.
• Automatic tax shift by the terminal
The tax shift is performed automatically by programming the tax shift (TAX SHIFT 1 to TAX SHIFT 10) for
each terminal.
