SYNC TERMINAL

The following options are
available when a fl ash unit is
connected via the sync termi-
nal.

Choose from the following options:
•
M: A trigger signal is transmitted from the sync terminal
and hot shoe when a picture is taken. Choose a shutter

Flash
speed slower than the sync speed (½  s); even slower
control
speeds may be required if the unit uses long fl ashes or
mode
has a slow response time.
•
OFF: The sync terminal and hot shoe do not transmit a
trigger signal.
Choose whether the fl ash is timed to fi re immediately
after the shutter opens (1ST CURTAIN) or immediately be-

fore it closes (2ND CURTAIN). 1ST CURTAIN is recommend-
ed in most circumstances.
