XFP Connections

XFP modules (see
UPC connectors are supported. Patch cords with APC connectors are not supported.
Cisco Multirate 10GE XFP modules do not support Digital Optical Monitoring (DOM).
The operating temperature range for the XFP modules is 0 to 70°C (32 to 158°F); storage temperature
range is -40°C to +85°C (-40°F to +185°F).
The maximum power consumption per Cisco XFP module is 3.5W.

The 1-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet SPA only accepts the XFP modules listed as supported in this document.
An XFP check is run every time an XFP module is inserted into the 1-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet SPA and
only XFP modules that pass this check are usable by the 1-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet SPA. The
information in this document pertains only to XFP modules that plug into the 1-Port 10-Gigabit Ethernet
SPA ports.
