Emergency Call
Allows users to dial pre-assigned
telephone numbers (up to 10 numbers
with a maximum of 16 digits) without
restriction.
External Relay
The KX-TD612 has 1 external relay
interface. Extension user can control
the relay by dialling a special code.
eXtra Device Port (XDP)
A modular jack on Digital System
Telephones to connect an additional
single line device.
Hands-free Answerback
Allows an intercom call to be
established immediately through the
telephone's built-in speaker, without the
handset been lifted or the SP-Phone
button been pressed. This feature
improves office communication very
easily.
Hands-free Operation
Digital System Telephones with
Speakerphone users can talk without
lifting the handset by using the built-in
microphone and speaker.
Hold
Temporarily puts the call on hold
without disconnecting the line. Two
modes are available:

1. Call Hold
Other extensions can
pick up the held call.
í
2. Exclusive Hold
Other extensions
cannot pick up the held call.
In both cases, if the call is held for a
certain period, an alarm tone is sent to
the party who held the call as a
reminder (Hold Recall). Transferring of
a call will also put the call on hold
(consultation hold).
Hot Line (Pickup Dialling)
Allows users to have the telephone
automatically dial a pre-programmed
number by simply lifting the handset
(i.e., the users do not dial any digits).
Log-in, Log-out
Allows users to temporarily leave the
Hunting Group (Log-out) so that no
incoming call will ring at their
extensions (e.g., during lunch). They
can log back in to receive calls again
when they come back.

Message Waiting
Allows users to leave a message
waiting notification when the called
extension is busy or there is no answer,
by pressing the Message Key on the
Digital System Telephone or dialling a
special code. If the called party is a
Digital System Telephone user, the
message waiting lamp will illuminate.
The called party can call back by going
off-hook and pressing the Message key.
If the called party is a single line
telephone user, the called party will be
informed of a message waiting with a
special dial tone when going off-hook
(Distinctive Dial Tone). He can call back
by dialling a special code.
Notebook Function
Allows the Digital System Telephone
users to store the phone number in the
memory of the telephone during
conversation. The stored number can
be dialled with one-touch operation.
Off-Hook Call Announcement
(OHCA)
Informs the extension users of a call
waiting through the built-in speaker
while the users are on the line. The
microphone is also activated, so a
second two-way conversation is
established on the same telephone
(available with KX-T7436/T7536 only).

Off-Hook Monitor
Allows users to let other people around
the telephone to hear the conversation
through the built-in speaker while
talking through the handset, by
pressing the SP-Phone button.
Paging
Allows users to page people through
the built-in speakers of Digital System
Telephones and/or external paging
system. Digital System Telephones can
be grouped into a maximum of 8
Paging (Extension) Groups. One
external paging zone is available.
Programmable (Flexible) CO key
with Dual Colour LED
Digital System Telephones are
equipped with programmable CO Key
that have buttons with a Dual Colour
LED. They can be assigned to various
functions such as CO (Single, Group,
Loop) Line, DSS (Direct Station
Selection), Phantom Key, One-touch
