PROCEDURE 7
9. Secure the axle mounting plate and support mount-
ing bracket to the wheelchair frame with the two (2)
mounting screws, washers, and locknuts. Securely
tighten.

NOTE: Ensure the washer on the axle bushing is placed

against the axle mounting plate.

To avoid a "3-wheeling" situation, ensure the axle
W repositioning washers, of each rear wheel, are
positioned in the same slot.

10. Place axle repositioning washer in desired slot, de-
termined from STEP 2.

L 11. From the inside of the wheelchair frame, position the
axle bushing in the axle repositioning washer.

12. Secure axle bushing to axle mounting plate with
washer and with outside jam nut. Securely tighten.
13. Repeat STEPS 1-11 for the opposite side of the wheel-
chair.

NOTE: Make sure the number of threads showing be-
yond the outside jam nut is the SAME for both rear wheels.
This will help avoid a "3-wheeling" situation. Also, make
sure the axle bushing is positioned in the same slot on
the axle mounting plate for both rear wheels.
14. Install the wheellock. For foot activated, refer to IN-
STALLING/REMOVING/USING THE FOOT AC-
TIVATED WHEEL LOCK in PROCEDURE 8 of the
owner's manual. For hand activated, refer to IN-
STALLING/REMOVING HAND ACTIVATED
WHEEL LOCKS in PROCEDURE 8 of the owner's
manual, part number 1073955.
15. Install the rear wheels. Refer to INSTALLING/RE-
MOVING THE REAR WHEELS in PROCEDURE 7
of the owner's manual, part number 1073955.
16. Adjust the wheel locks. Refer to WHEEL LOCK
ADJUSTMENT in PROCEDURE 8 of the owner's
manual, part number 1073955.
