ANTERIOR TILT/SEAT-TO-FLOOR
This Procedure includes the following:

Anterior Tilt

Changing Seat-to-Floor Height
Rear Wheel, Caster Size, Caster Fork, Axle
Bushing Position, Pivot Tube Position, and
Headtube Position for:
15-1/2 - inch Seat-to-Floor Height
16-1/2 - inch Seat-to-Floor Height
17-1/2 - inch Seat-to-Floor Height
18-1/2 - inch Seat-to-Floor Height
19-1/2 - inch Seat-to-Floor Height
20-1/2 - inch Seat-to-Floor Height
21-1/2 - inch Seat-to-Floor Height
ANTERIOR TILT
Adjusting the Limit Stops (FIGURE 1)
NOTE: Refer to Procedure 1 - General Guidelines
which include GENERAL WARNINGS concerning
proper adjustment.
WARNING
DO NOT operate the wheelchair when the
seat frame is in the anterior (forward) tilt po-
sition (seat frame is at approximately 10
ward tilt). Serious bodily injury may occur to
the patient and the assistant(s).
1. Remove occupant from wheelchair.
2. Engage both wheel locks.
NOTE: Note the position of the limit stops for proper
operation once therapy is complete.
3. Loosen the set screws that secure the limit stop
in place. Repeat for other tilt mechanism, if ap-
plicable.
4. Tilt wheelchair to desired position.
5. Secure the limit stop against the top of the cylin-
der. Securely tighten the set screws. Repeat for
other tilt mechanism, if applicable.
WARNING
At the completion of therapy, ensure the AN-
TERIOR limit stop(s) are repositioned back in
place so not provide the user with an Ante-
rior (forward) tilt.

Seat-to-Floor Height Determination
(FIGURES 2)
NOTE: Refer to Procedure 1 - General Guidelines which
include GENERAL and SPECIFIC WARNINGS concern-
ing wheelchair stability.
Seat-to-Floor Height is determined by measuring from
the seat pan to the ground/floor.
The different Seat-to-Floor Heights are possible by using
o
for-
different combinations of REAR WHEELS, CASTER
SIZE, CASTER FORKS, AXLE BUSHING POSITION,
PIVOT TUBE POSITION, HEADTUBE POSITION.
After determining caster size and caster fork assembly
needed, refer to REPLACING/INSTALLING FRONT
CASTER ASSEMBLIES and REPLACING FRONT
FORK in PROCEDURE 6 of the owner's manual, part
number 1073955.
After determining rear wheel, refer to REMOVING/IN-
STALLING REAR WHEELS in PROCEDURE 7 of the
owner's manual, part number 1073955.
After determining the desired SEAT-TO-FLOOR
HEIGHT, refer to ADJUSTING THE SEAT HEIGHT
in PROCEDURE 4 of this manual.
NOTE: Refer to the charts on the following pages
for the correct settings for your desired Seat-to-Floor
Heights.
