Replacing the fuel filter
Replace the fuel filter mounted on the supply line after
every 100 hours (once per season) or more frequently
if it is clogged.
Replace the filter as follows:
1.
Open the engine cover.
2.
Move the hose clamps away from the filter.
Use a pair of flat pliers.
3.
Pull the filter loose from the hose ends.
4.
Push the new filter into the hose ends. Position the
filter with the "FLOW" arrow pointing up towards
the fuel pump. If necessary, a soap solution can
be applied to the ends of the filter to simplify
assembly.
5.
Move the hose clamps back toward the filter.
Cleaning the pulse air filter
1.
Open the engine cover.
2.
Loosen the four snap catches, remove the cover,
and remove the filter.
3.
Blow the filter clean with compressed air.
Replace the filter if it is damaged or cannot be
blown clean.
4.
Place the filter back in the cover and fasten the
cover with the snap catches. Close the engine
cover.
Checking the fuel pump's air filter
Check regularly that the fuel pump's air filter is not
clogged by dirt.
Remove the screws and open the pump, no hoses
need be removed.
The filter can be cleaned using a brush, if necessary.
Replace the pump on the console.
