3. Disconnect the fan cable from the system board (see
4. Lift (press up) the fan retention tab on the lower side of the fan assembly (toward the bottom of the computer) while pulling back (away from the
chassis) the tab on the upper side of the fan assembly, and simultaneously sliding the assembly toward the back of the chassis to release it from the
chassis.

5. Lift the fan assembly out of the chassis.

Replacing the Fan Assembly

1. Position the fan assembly in its mounting location such that slot retention tabs on the left side (bottom in picture) of the assembly are inserted into the
slots in the left side of the chassis.
