4. Check all connectors to ensure that they are properly cabled and firmly seated.
 
5. Gently insert the hard drive and shroud assembly tabs into the alignment slots on the back of the chassis and rotate the assembly downward until it
clicks into place.

6. Route the SATA data cable(s) and cables removed earlier through the cable channel on the side of the hard drive shroud.

CAUTION:
To guard against electrical shock, always unplug your computer from the electrical outlet before removing the computer cover.
 
Removing an Optical Drive
 
1. Perform the procedure

2. Lay the computer on its side so that the system board is on the bottom of the inside of the computer.
 
NOTICE:
Do not pull the drive out of the computer by the drive cables. Doing so may cause damage to cables and the cable connectors.
 
3. Disconnect the power and data cable from the optical drive.
 
4. Press the drive release latch, slide the drive towards the back of the computer, then lift the drive out of the chassis.
