Installing the PTO Shaft
Guards
International Machines Only
Parts needed for this procedure:

Long guard
1
Guard
4
Bolt (1/4 x 1 inch)
4
Flat washer (1/4 inch)
4
Retainer nut (1/4 inch)
Procedure
Note: This procedure is only for international machines.
Note: The guards are located in the hopper of the machine.
Note: The guards are shipped assembled together with the
parts listed above. Ensure the guards are installed after the
mower deck is lowered.
1. Shut off the engine, wait for all moving parts to stop,
and remove key. Engage the parking brake.
2. Lower the mower deck.
3. Loosen the bolts attached to the rubber guard

Procedure
Pressure: 103 kPa (15 psi)
Note: Check the tire pressure before starting the machine.
Refer to your Operator's Manual for the correct tire type,
correct air pressure needed, and procedure.

Checking the Engine-Oil Level
No Parts Required
Procedure
Before you start the engine and use the machine, check
the oil level in the engine crankcase; refer to Servicing the
Engine-Oil Level in the Operator's Manual.
