Bleeding Air from the Fuel
Injectors
Note: Only use this procedure if the fuel system has been
purged of air through normal priming procedures and the
engine will not start; refer to
36).
1. Loosen the pipe connection to the No. 1 nozzle and
holder assembly (Figure

2. Move throttle to the F
3. Turn the key in the key switch to the S
and watch the fuel flow around the connector.
Note: The engine will crank.
4. When you observe a solid flow of fuel, turn the key
to the O position.

Maintenance
Important: Before welding on the machine, disconnect
both cables from the battery and the terminal connector
from the alternator to prevent damage to the electrical
system.

Servicing the Battery

CALIFORNIA
Proposition 65 Warning
Battery posts, terminals, and related
accessories contain lead and lead compounds,
chemicals known to the State of California
to cause cancer and reproductive harm.
Wash hands after handling.
DANGER
Battery electrolyte contains sulfuric acid which is a
deadly poison and causes severe burns.
• Do not drink electrolyte and avoid contact with
skin, eyes, or clothing. Wear safety glasses to
shield your eyes and rubber gloves to protect
your hands.
• Fill the battery where clean water is always
available for flushing the skin.
WARNING
Charging the battery produces gasses that can
explode.
Never smoke near the battery and keep sparks and
flames away from it.
WARNING
Battery terminals or metal tools could short against
metal tractor components causing sparks. Sparks
can cause the battery gasses to explode, resulting
in personal injury.
• When removing or installing the battery, do not
allow the battery terminals to touch any metal
parts of the machine.
• Do not allow metal tools to short between
the battery terminals and metal parts of the
machine.
