LCD Menu (4-Bay and 6-Bay)

The Seagate WSS NAS 4-Bay and 6-Bay include an LCD menu. You can check general hardware and operating
system settings while the WSS NAS is powered on. Review the table below for further details on the LCD
menu.

Access the LCD display menu

1. Apply a short push on the WSS NAS's up or down arrow to turn the LCD on.
2. Apply a long push on the WSS NAS's up or down arrow to enter the main menu.
3. Push the WSS NAS's up or down arrow to search the menu selections. Each screen reveals two
selections.
4. Use the WSS NAS's up or down arrow to highlight your selection. A horizontal arrow points to the
selection.
5. Apply a long push on the WSS NAS's up or down arrow to enter the sub-menu for that selection.
6. If applicable, push the WSS NAS's up or down arrow to search through the sub-menu selections.
Each menu and sub-menu remains on the LCD display for 30 seconds. To exit a sub-menu, apply a long push
to the WSS NAS's up or down arrow.

Sub-menu
See the IP addresses assigned to the WSS NAS.
See the percent of storage used: globally and per volume.
Up to five alerts are listed on the sub-menu. Alerts include: temperature; casing; fan; and
storage.
Check the temperatures for the WSS NAS's: hard drives; CPU; and motherboard.
Review the fan's rotational speed.
Review the date, time and uptime. Uptime refers to the amount of time that the WSS NAS has
been powered on.
Check the version of the Seagate Monitor tab in the Windows Storage Server 2012 R2
Essentials dashboard.
