Starting Engine

This engine is shipped WITHOUT oil. See page 7 for oil
recommendations, capacity, and filling details.
1. Check oil level. Remove oil filler plug. Oil should
be full (almost overflowing). Replace plug before
starting engine.

2. Fill Petrol tank with petrol and kerosene tank with
kerosene. See page 8 for recommendations and
details.

3. Push rocker switch to ON position.
4. Move CHOKE to choke position.

Safety - -
When Starting Engine
CAUTION
This engine is shipped from Briggs & Stratton
without oil. If you start the engine without oil,
the engine will be damaged beyond repair and
will not be covered under warranty.
WARNING
Start and run engine outdoors.
Do not start or run engine in
enclosed area, even if doors or
windows are open.
WARNING
DO NOT crank engine with spark plug
removed.
DO NOT start engine if there is a
natural or LP gas leak in area.
Make sure spark plug, muffler, fuel
cap and housings are in place and
firmly secured by equipped fasteners.
Do not use pressurized starting fluids
because vapors are flammable.
