CAUTION:
Use special care to prevent damage to the "Teflon" coated
surface of the anti-friction metal when mounting it.
OIL SEAL STOPPER RING AND DUST SEAL
• Install the oil seal stopper ring @.
CAUTION:
Make sure that the oil seal stopper ring fitted securely.
• Install the dust seal @ with the special tool.

• For the fork oil, be sure to use a front fork oil whose vis-
cosity rating meets specifications below.

• Hold the front fork vertical and adjust the fork oil level with
the special tool.

When adjusting the oil level, remove the fork spring and com-
press the inner tube fully.
CAP BOLT AND INNER TUBE
• Tighten the cap bolt to the specified torque with the special
tool after tightening the lower clamp bolts.

• When installing the front fork assembly, align the top® of
the inner tube to the upper surface (j) of the steering stem
upper bracket.
