Changing the Date and Time
Adjust the date and time as follows.
World Clock
To ensure that your shots will have the correct local date and time when
you travel abroad, simply register the destination in advance and switch to
that time zone. This convenient feature eliminates the need to change the
Date/Time setting manually.
Before using the world clock, be sure to set the date and time and your
home time zone, as described in "Setting the Date and Time" ( = 17).

Select and touch [Date/Time].
Touch the option to configure, and then
touch [ ][ ] to adjust the setting.

Specify your destination.
Select and touch [Time Zone].
Touch [
World], and then touch [Time
Zone].
Touch [ ][ ] to choose the destination
time zone.
To set daylight saving time (1 hour
ahead), touch [
].
Touch [OK].

Switch to the destination time zone.
Touch [
[ ] is now shown on [Time Zone] and
shooting screens ( = 127).
Adjusting the date or time while in [
automatically update your [
Home] time and date.
Lens Retraction Timing
The lens is normally retracted for safety about one minute after you press
] button in Shooting mode ( = 23). To have the lens retracted
the [
immediately after you press the [
] button, set the retraction timing to
[0 sec.].
Choose [Lens Retraction], and then
choose [0 sec.].
