Connecting AV Components
Controlling an Onkyo Dock (iPod)
The following buttons can be used to control
an Onkyo Dock with iPod that's connected
with . See page 23 for hookup and setting
information.

TOP MENU button
Works the same as the ND-S1's
[iPod/PC] button. Press repeatedly to
select your iPod or PC.

Arrow []/[] and ENTER buttons
Used to navigate menus and select items.

DVD SETUP button
Works the same as the ND-S1's
[SYNC/UNSYNC] button. Press this but-
ton to sync your iPod. To cancel sync,
press and hold this button for at least 2
seconds.

Play [/] button
Works as a Play/Pause button.

Pause [] button
Pauses playback.

Next [] button
Selects the next song.

Previous [] button
Restarts the current song. Press it twice to
select the previous song.

Fast Forward [] button
Press and hold to fast forward.

Rewind [] button
Press and hold to rewind.

PLAYLIST []/[] buttons
Selects the previous or next iPod playlist.

MENU button
Displays a menu.

DISPLAY button
Press and hold down for 3 seconds to
switch to iPod display. Turns on the back-
light.

SHUFFLE MODE button
Used with the shuffle function.

REPEAT button
Used with the repeat function.

ALBUM []/[] button
Selects the next or previous iPod album.
Notes:
• *1: These buttons work only with the
Onkyo ND-S1.
• If you're using an ND-S1, set it to iPod
mode (iPod button/ indicator lit).
• Set the RI Dock's RI MODE switch to
HDD or HDD/DOCK.
• See the Onkyo Dock's instruction manual
for more details.
