Checking the Tire Pressure

No Parts Required
Procedure
The tires are over inflated for shipping. Therefore,
release some of the air to reduce the pressure. Correct
air pressure in front and rear tires is 20 psi.

Adjusting the Counterbalance
Pressure
No Parts Required
Procedure
For best performance, the cutting unit bounce on
uneven turf is minimal and it does not ride heavily over
2. Negative (-)
flat terrain. If scalping occurs or the cut is uneven from
side to side, there may be too much weight on the
deck and the weight may have to be transferred to the
machine: i.e. increased counterbalance pressure.
By contrast, if too much weight is transferred to the
machine, the deck will bounce excessively and the cut
will be uneven. If the cutting unit does not perform
properly, adjust the counterbalance pressure as follows:
1. Ensure that the parking brake is set, the PTO switch
is in the Off position, and the lift lever is in the Float
position.
2. Connect a pressure gauge to the test port behind the
right lift cylinder (Figure 12).

3. Loosen the jam nut at the bottom of the
counterbalance valve (Figure 13). The valve is
located on the right side of the machine.
