AIR INTAKE SYSTEM

CAUTION: Never remove or modify
any component in the air box. The
engine carburation is calibrated to
operate specifically with these com-
ponents. Otherwise, engine perfor-
mance degradation or damage can
occur.

Air Box Draining

Periodically inspect air box drain tube
for liquid or deposits.

1. Air box
2. Drain tube
3. Clamp
NOTE: If vehicle is used in dusty area,
inspect more frequently than specified
in MAINTENANCE CHART.
If liquid/deposits are found, squeeze
and remove the clamp. Pull drain tube
out and empty it.
CAUTION: Do not start engine
when liquid/deposits are found
in the drain tube.
When liquid/deposits are found, the
air filter must be inspected/dried/re-
placed depending on its condition.

Air Filter Removal
CAUTION: Never remove or modify

Remove seat.
Release clamps and remove air box
cover.

Loosen clamp and remove retaining
screw, then remove air filter.
