Releasing the Electric Brake

The electric brake can be release by manually rotating the
link arms forward. Once the electric brake is energized the
brake will reset.
To release the brake:

2. Left rear tire
1. Turn the ignition key to the Off position or disconnect
the battery.
2. Locate the shaft on the electric brake where the brake
link arms are connected.
3. Rotate the shaft forward to release the brake.
Cooling System
Maintenance

Cleaning the Engine Screen

Service Interval: Before each use or daily—Clean the engine
air-intake screen.
To ensure proper cooling, make sure the grass screen, cooling
fins, and other external surfaces of the engine are kept clean
at all times.
Use a dry brush to clean grass and accumulated debris from
the air-intake screen and around the engine.
Important: To prevent contaminating the fuel system,
do not use water to clean the engine.
Cleaning the Engine-Cooling
Fins and Shrouds
Service Interval: Every 100 hours—Clean the engine-cooling
fins and shrouds.
1. Disengage the blade-control switch, and move the
motion-control levers to the neutral-locked position
and apply the parking brake.
2. Stop the engine, remove the key, and wait for all moving
parts to stop before leaving the operating position.
3. Remove the air-intake screen and cooling shrouds.
4. Clean the debris and grass from the engine parts.
5. Install the air-intake screen and cooling shrouds.
