Adjusting the Bowden cable for the wheel drive
(only for mowers with wheel drive)
Stop the motor, wait until the blade stands still and
remove the spark plug connector when working on
the mower. Danger of injury! (Fig. 35)
The Bowden cable needs to be adjusted if the rear wheels be-
come blocked when pulling backwards or if there is insufficient
drive power.

Check to see if the Bowden cable is kinked or is too tight.

Undo the locking nut (1) and then turn the adjustment nut (2)
clockwise (+) by 1 - 3 turns (Fig. 36).

Undo the locking nut (1) and then turn the adjustment nut (2)
counter-clockwise (-) by 1 - 3 turns (Fig. 36).

Check the setting.

Relock the locking nut (1) when the you have the optimum
setting.
Contact your authorized TORO customer service if
you are unable to realize an optimum setting by
following these adjustment procedures.

Adjusting the Bowden cable for the motor start/
stop
Stop Bowden cable for the motor start/stop may only
be adjusted or exchanged in an authorised TORO
service station.

Storing the mower
Remove the spark plug connector (Fig. 35).
Clean the mower.
Check all bolts, screws and nuts.
Replace damaged parts.
Use only original TORO spare parts whcih you can obtain from
an authorized TORO dealer.
Before longer storage, empty fuel tank and let the motor run to
fully consume all the fuel.
Store the mower in a clean, dry place.
The handlebar may be folded down for this purpose (Fig. 37).
