5.2
Cleaning the mower
Before cleaning the mower, stop the motor, wait until
the blade stands still and disconnect the spark plug
connector. Danger of injury! (fig. 27)
Do not wash the motor down with water.
Danger of motor breakdown!
Before tilting the mower, fully empty the fuel tank.
Only tilt mower far enough that the carburetor is on
top.
Wipe off dirt and grass rests with a rag.
Lay mower on its side and clean the bottom side of the mower
(fig. 28).
For quick and easy cleaning, the mower offers a wash-out port
(fig. 29). There you can attach a water hose and clean
underneath the deck while the engine is running.

Servicing the air filter
Clean air filter every 20 - 25 operating hours or after 3 months.
Clean more often if mower is used in dusty and dirty environment.
Ensure that the motor is standing still and the spark
plug connector has been pulled off.
1. Slacken screw and fold cover down (fig.30).
2. Carefully remove air filter insert.
3. If only slightly soiled, knock it out carefully on a smooth
surface; if heavily soiled, replace insert.
Do not start motor without air filter. Dust or dirt may
cause serious damage to the motor.
4. Insert cleaned or new air filter insert, close cover and fasten
with screw (reference number see fig. 30).
