Repetitive dives
A repetitive dive means taking a second dive before a suffi cient amount of time
has elapsed to allow you to completely desaturate the nitrogen accumulated from
your previous dive. In these cases, Xtender shows the level of nitrogen using the
bar graph, and the desaturation time required (Fig. 5).
Figure 5
If you dive during this period, the no-decompression times available will be
shorter, because Xtender takes into account the nitrogen already present in your
tissues.
The dive planner allows you to monitor the no-decompression times allowed by
the computer. To view the desaturation time and surface time, press the "select"
button.
Nitrox dives
When you dive with Nitrox mixtures, it is necessary that you enter into Xtender the
oxygen fraction contained in the gas you will be using on the dive. Is crucial that
the oxygen fraction corresponds to the mix in your tank, because this information
is the basis for the decompression calculations as well as for oxygen toxicity.
