    (CLI), or Telnet. Plug-and-play and auto-negotiation capabilities allow the switch to auto-detect a link partner with the best available speed. The SW24-GBP is cased in a heavy-duty 1U housing designed for easy installation and maintenance. (Rack-mount hardware is included.) The SW24-GBP supports Nway auto-negotiation to automatically detect network speed (10/100/1000 Mbps) and Full/Half duplex mode.

    1.6. Ports The SW24-GBP has 24 10/100/1000 ports, and two SFP fiber ports (SFP 1 and SFP 2). A Mini-GBIC is required to use the SFP ports. The SFP 1 Mini-GBIC slot shares the same port with the copper RJ45 port 23, and the SFP 2 Mini-GBIC slot shares the same port with the copper RJ45 port 24.

    / SW24-GBP Desktop Installation 2.1. Attach the provided rubber feet to the bottom of the switch to keep the switch from slipping. The recommend position for the feet is marked with squares. Install the switch on a level surface that can support the weight of the unit and related components.

    The default values are: IP Address: 192.168.1.201 Password: None In order to log in to the SW24-GBP, you must first configure the TCP/IP settings of your PC/notebook. Follow these steps: 1. In the Windows Control Panel, double-click Network Connections and double-click the connection of your Network Interface Card (NIC).

    / SW24-GBP Aggregation/Trunking 3.1.3. Aggregation, or Trunking, allows several ports to be “virtually” combined to increase bandwidth. To configure the Aggregation/Trunking settings, in the navigation menu, under Configuration click Aggregation/Trunking. To associate ports with an aggregation/trunking group, find the desired group in the left column, then click the corresponding ports to associate them with the group.

    / SW24-GBP Mirroring 3.1.6. Mirroring allows network traffic to be monitored from a single port, by copying all packets sent to the source port to the mirror port. To configure the mirroring function, in the navigation menu, under Configuration, click Mirroring.

    / SW24-GBP Quality of Service 3.1.7. In the navigation menu, under Configuration, click Quality of Service. This page is used to set up the QoS function to help ensure a reliable connection and traffic throughput priorities. By default the SW24GBP comes preconfigured with QoS so there should be no need to make any changes here.

The MAC/Port Binding function allows you to restrict port access to clients whose MAC addresses you have enter in a table.
