FUNCTION OVERVIEW
FRONT AND REAR
1. SPEAKER
2. FUNCTION switch
selects the function CD/MP3, TAPE(OFF)
or RADIO.
3. VOLUME control
adjusts volume level.
4. / button
press once to skip to previous track, press &
hold to search backward.
5. / button
press once to skip to next track, press & hold
to search forward.
6. STEREO HEADPHONE JACK
7. BASS BOOST switch
8. PROGRAM button
programs a desired track sequence to play.
9. CASSETTE RECORDER KEYS:
RECORD: starts recording
PLAY: starts playback
F.FWD/REW: fast winds / rewinds the tape
STOP/EJECT: stopps the tape and opens the
cassette compartment
PAUSE: interrupts recording or playback.
10. LC Display
shows the CD functions.
11. REPEAT
repeats a track/CD program.
12. FM ST. indicator
13. STOP
stops playback / erases a program.
14. OPEN button
press here to open the cd door.
15. PLAY/PAUSE
start or pause playback.

selects AM/FM band
18. TUNING control
selects AM/FM stations.

pull out to improve FM reception

to open battery compartment.

Whenever convenient, use the power supply if you
want to conserve battery life. Make sure you remo-
ve the plug from the set and wall outlet before inser-
ting batteries.
Batteries (not included):
Open the battery compartment and insert eightbatte-
ries, type MONO, R-20, UM-1 or D-cells, (preferab-
ly Alkaline) with the correct polarity as indicated by
the „+" and „-" symbols inside the compartment.
Batteries contain chemical substances, so they
should be disposed of properly.
Incorrect use of batteries can cause electrolyte le-
akage and will corrode the compartment or cause
the batteries to burst.
Therefore:
● Do not mix battery types: e.g. alkaline with
carbon zinc. Only use batteries of the same
type for the set.
● When inserting new batteries, do not try to mix
old batteries with the new ones.
● Remove the batteries if the set is not to be used
for a long time.
Using AC Power
1. Check if the power voltage, as shown on the
type plate located on the bottom of the set
corresponds to your local AC power supply. If it
does not, consult your dealer or service
centre.
2. Connect the power cord to the AC MAINS inlet
and the wall outlet. The power supply is now
connected and ready for use.
3. To switch off completely, unplug the power cord
from the wall outlet.
Unplug the power cord from the wall outlet to pro-
tect your set during heavy thunderstorms.
